Fall Carry Over
Fall is almost here! These are some strategies to incorporate speech and language into your everyday life.
-Talk about what you see outside in the Fall
-Label Fall vocabulary such as pumpkins, apples, wind, cool, leaves, football, soccer, acorns, squirrels
-Discuss the weather change
-Sequence Fall activities such as apple picking and pumpkin picking. Talk about what happens first, next, last.
Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year! My name is Johanna Barrabee and I will be your child’s Speech-Language Specialist this year. Your child’s session times will be arranged to best fit his/her schedule.
Communication is such an important aspect of all of our lives. Your child is receiving Speech-Language Therapy to help improve his/her ability to communicate. Whether it is the use of correct speech sounds, grammar, vocabulary or social skills, attending Speech therapy will help your child improve interactions with family, peers, and teachers.
I will send home notes in your child’s classroom communication book about recent activities and goals. Feel free to write a note in the communication book if you have a question or comment. I can also be contacted via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or via phone at (201) 585-4630 X1815. I look forward to working with your child this year!
